11th JULY (MONDAY) – poverty and wealth - sculptures from rubbish
Aim of the day: to show that happiness doesn’t depend (only) on money

8.30-10.00 1st project session
1. warming up games (25 min)
winking chase game
puff game (in 2 circles)
2. we divide the teens into 6 groups according to the following: we count ourselves everyone should remember his/her number and the first 5 teens will be in one group, the second 6 teens will be the second group etc. (10 min)
3. we watch the following MasterCard videos on YouTube together (10 min)

4. in small groups (3 min + 15 min)
talking about what were the things that people couldn’t buy with MasterCard
collecting other things that money can’t buy (a smile, give a birth to a baby etc.)
at the end reaching the point that money is only a tool for reaching our aims (to make someone happy/laugh etc.) and that money is not the ‘final station’, we shouldn’t live to earn money, we should earn money to be able to reach our goals
the groups present their ideas to the others
5. Making a short “MasterCard” spot (22 min)

10.30 - 12.00 2nd project session
1. Value auction in small groups (70 min)
the teens “buy” values (Love (affection), Family, Health, Success, Wealth, Tolerance, Self-confidence, Beauty, Partner, Friends, Power, Independence, Freedom, Endurance, Creativity, Environmental friendliness etc.)
we have a look at everyone’s values and we speak about the following 3 questions:
• Why did you buy those values?
• What other value did you want to get?
• Is there any other value that he/she would have wanted to buy?
2. Everyone fills in a questionnaire (that consists of 10 questions about the protection of the environment) the questions are projected to the wall (15 min)
3. We tell the good results of the questionnaire about the protection of the environment (5 min)
12.00 – 12.15 break
12.15 - 13.15 3rd project session
1. we speak about what we can do in order to protect the environment and then we present it to the others (7,5 + 7,5 min)
2. we make 3 groups out of the 6 groups (2 min)
3. the 3 groups of teens continue the story by making 2-3 sculptures (statues) out of rubbish (45 min)
13.15 – 14.30 lunch
14.30 - 15.00 teacher meeting (for the teens this is free time)
15.00 - 17.00 free activities
17.00-18.00 Hungarian folk dance
18.00 - 20.00 dinner
20.00 - 22.00 camp games
22.00 curfew
23.30 - bedtime
23.30 evaluative parliament
